The article reconstructs the main aspects of the Kantian theory of peace, as presented primarily in the essay on Perpetual Peace, and illustrates some of the problems that emerge in this essay. Secondly, the article examines the different developments and interpretations of Kant’s peace theory in Habermas’ philosophy and in Rawls’ book on the Law of Peoples.
