This paper presents the notion of «Political Model of Education» through a comparison of North America and France. Then this notion is tested through the answers of the students to the PISA questionnaire and of the teachers to the TALIS questionnaire. Furthermore it tries to show that the American Model (the deweyan democratic school) is best suited than the French one (the durkheimian republican school) to prevent the seduction of students by fundamentalist form of religion, mainly the Islamic one.
