This article offers a critical vision of the common narratives of the recurrent crises in Argentina, from the 1990s to the present day, emphasizing the absence of learning from its own historical experience as one of the most significant gaps of Argentine society. Within the framework of the 2001 crisis cooperatives have played a key role in building cohesion and structure and in activating sustainable local development dynamics.
