Autore: Accarino, Bruno Titolo: Il 'Daimon' di Robespierre e l'ombra di Edmund Burke : tra Hannah Arendt e Hans Jonas Periodico: Filosofia politica Anno: 1997 - Volume: 11 - Fascicolo: 1 - Pagina iniziale: 83 - Pagina finale: 98
The image of the 'daimon' is crucial in the interpretation of Arendt's thought. It enables us to appraise not only the difference between Greek and Christian thought, but also the evolution from Jesus's teaching to Paul's theology. In this context Arendt shows her debit to Jonas's studies on Augustine and Paul, which she uses indirectly, in a positive link with Burke's political cosmology, in the analysis of French Revolution and in the assessment of natural right.
