The aim of this work is the analysis of the impact of the agricultural policy measure «grubbing-up premium of vines», provided by Regulation (EC) n. 479/2008, had in Sicilian wine company. Using data from a representative group of familiar conduct vineyards, where the measure was implemented, we determined the impact as partial adaptation of farming system comparing the values of the net income pre and post intervention that we have taken as a variable target. Changes in the economic indicators reveal that the application of agricultural policy measure involved, in all cases examined, a decrease of net income. The entrepreneurs choosed the agricultural policy measure for the high premium per hectare received in the immediate future that has represented a way to bring in the farm resources monetary for the normal needs of the farmer’s family. The study reveals, not only that for all companies farming system ex ante was preferable to ex-post one, but that entrepreneurs who have extirpated the vineyard contributed, along with those who have joined the Green harvest, to increase the price of grapes-as a result of a decrease in quantities offer – which even more shows, for the wine farms detected, a clear advantage to the cultivation of vineyard.
