At the beginning of the thirty first year of the journal, Umberto Romagnoli announces his decision to leave the Direction to the two former co-directors G. Guido Balandi and Luigi Mariucci, who had been the convinced promoters of the initiative − thirty years ago − and who shared with him the foundation of the journal. He stresses the characteristic of LD of being a centre of elaboration of labour law culture and not simply a medium to disseminate what labour law literature is producing. Finally he, who will remain within the historical group that inspired the journal in the three decays, wishes the continuity of the commitment of the journal. "Balandi and Mariucci accept the new commitment guaranteing the continuity of the ideal inspiration of the journal"
