After a brief introduction to Greg. Naz. Carm. 1.2.26, this article proposes the critical edition of the poem, accompanied by a philological commentary. Moreover, in order to portray the carmen’s Nachleben, the text of the Byzantine paraphrases is offered, which could be divided into three redactions (?, F and ?).
