In the light of new abilities needed to manage multi-professional teams and work in more and more collaborative way within inter-organizational networks in Health and Social Care Settings, our paper analyses how the managerial training responds to these challenges. At first, we will show that the socio-health policies and the current organizational scenarios demand managerial skills that must be transversal and trans-local. Returning to our experience in organizing the Master in Management and Innovation in Healthcare Companies, we will highlight how the training project aims at shaping a 'reflective practitioner' able to adopt a new gaze to his own organization in order to govern its change. Then, we will get to the heart of the Project Works taking the form of 'collective learning spaces' where multi-professional groups, supported by a tutor, carry out an action-research and design improvement projects in their work contexts. Such 'ephemeral learning communities' allow the development of that transversal skills which are by now essential to the performance of managerial roles.
