752In the past years, a widely shared view has recognized the relevance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the importance to integrate ICT in Education. Thanks also to the efforts undertaken by the European Commission with the launch of the Bologna Process (1999), which assigns to ICT an important role in the promotion of Lifelong Learning as tool for the future of the European Higher Education Area. Scientific literature provides several contributions about the quality of e-learning, showing the complexity of the quality concept that incorporates the 'subjective' and 'contextual' dimension as well as the 'objective' dimensions. The aim of the essay is to discuss the problem of e-learning quality standards for e-learning activities.
