Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is “a concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis”. CSR is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model, essentially is the deliberate inclusion of other interests into corporate decision making. It can make a significant contribution towards sustainability and competitiveness, both in Europe and globally. In this article some reflections will be proposed on the type of obligation that have the enterprises in comparison to the socially responsible behaviors. The key concept is that the approach to csr is a voluntary approach but different ways will be found for binding the enterprises to involve in ethical way. From last, a rapid excursus on the practices of csr in agriculture.
