The Seattle Personality Inventory-Revised (S.P.I.-R.) by Marc Greenberg (1994) is a multidimensional scale for the assessment of self-report main symptoms of psychosocial risk in children in the age range of 7-to-9-years. The original scale contains items, which load on 4 symptomatology dimensions (Anxiety, Conduct Problems, Somatization, Depression), plus a Lie Scale. The purpose of this study was to develop a version suitable for the Italian children. To this aim, a sample of 449 children - 221 males and 228 females -, aged 8.1-8.11 years was used. Some item were eliminated since it compromised all factor solutions in Italian sample. Finally, a confirmatory factor analysis essentially supported the original four-factor structure. The internal consistencies of all dimensions were generally well.
