SLOW TOURISM AS A RESPONSE TO COVID-19 COVIDATION. - The research question to be answered is whether slow tourism, already important from the point of view of environmental sustainability, can help reduce the negative effects and indicate a faster recovery of the tourism sector, in the context of coexistence with the pandemic phenomenon. A perspective that has allowed us to rediscover a higher quality of life thanks to imposed rhythms that have allowed us to develop slower and more enjoyable mental sensory images. This, in reality already started but hit by an important acceleration, has given rise to new activities linked to slowness, in which a new type of tourism is taking shape. A slowness that can be configured as a new model of behaviour that marks the transition from a hit and run tourism to one made up of behaviours aimed at perceiving attractive places in a different way, with greater intensity and calm. This new cultural model, driven both by the current health emergency and the one already present, environmental and sustainability, has produced not only a different perception of consumer goods but also a new concept of quality of life. Now it is perhaps even more tomorrow and the day after tomorrow the “rules” of coexistence with this pandemic could help us, in our territory, to rediscover this form of tourism.
