Migrants' work in the agricultural sector is characterized by the employment of a multitude of migrants that, following the exploitation route traced by the seasonality of crops along Italy and Europe, work and live in inhuman conditions, under the control of those who illegally hire them. This is an elusive and multi-offensive phenomenon, caused by many facets of a long and 'unethical' chain. The essay analyzes the existing legal enforcement measures, which, by empirical evidence, are not effective. It then identifies other provisions that, in an integrated and multi-level perspective, are considered capable to produce tangible effects, in a legal and market perspective.
