Abstract

In the constantly evolving and unquestionably dynamic economic and corporate context, the ability to adopt innovation has become more than just a strategic advantage, transforming into a fundamental necessity for companies that aim to achieve long-term growth by determining their competitive advantage. In encouraging corporate growth, innovation plays a fundamental role by enabling multiple advancements in different areas and divisions, including products, services, processes and market dynamics. The meaning of innovation encompasses much more than just technological improvements as it encompasses the dynamic interplay of creativity, adaptability and foresight that drives organizations towards long-term progress. Organizational culture, characterized by its values, behaviors and norms, is often an underappreciated catalyst that plays a crucial role in bringing about and generating major changes. It acts as both a driver and a facilitator of innovation. The relationship between innovation and corporate culture is a dynamic interaction that profoundly influences an organization's ability to adapt, evolve and succeed in a rapidly changing world. A culture that supports creativity, risk-taking and open collaboration, employees are empowered to ideate, experiment and bring new solutions to the table. Diversity and inclusion within the culture further enriches innovation by welcoming a multitude of perspectives and experiences. However, leadership plays a critical role in providing a tone, a voice, as visionary leaders who prioritize innovation inspire and guide their teams towards creative problem solving. This thesis conducts an examination of the prominent role that organizational culture plays in the development and influence of innovation management practices. The strong correlation between the two aspects has never been so debated and discussed between the business, university and behavioral/psychological worlds. What emerges from the in-depth analysis of these themes and their relationship is the importance for companies to establish and outline a corporate culture, defined as culture of innovation, which aims to encourage the advancement of innovative practices within an environment specific. Change is essential if we want to continue to be competitive because those who remain anchored to old traditions, even if they have always led to good results, risk disappearing in the next decade. The same applies to phenomena of resistance to change that occur in many corporate contexts due to the uncertainty of a future situation. The presence of ad hoc models developed by students and researchers are a good starting point for being able to conduct the necessary measurements on the cultural status and the degree of innovation currently adopted by societies to determine the desired one. However, it is necessary not to rely exclusively on these models but to conduct a series of alternative analyzes and managerial choices that emphasize the promotion of creativity, the adoption of a far-sighted approach and the belief that the world is no longer the same as before .
