The thesis presents the key processes of the evolution from the traditional banking approach to the platform banking system. In particular, the case study would present the migration of automated information systems of corporate lending in structured finance. Through the comparison between the sociotechnical framework of the current situation and the desired outcome, it will highlight the gaps of the organization not only in the need of new professional roles, such as information system experts, but also of new skills and competences for a more integrated evolution of the banking system. In this context, external consulting support would become part of the process as key drivers of change and consequently much more integrated part of the banking ecosystem in near future.
