The sixth and last section of the "Considérations sur les principaux événements de la Révolution française" can be considered a sort of "De l'Angleterre", as it is a well-structured analysis of the British political and social system. Despite containing cogent and sharp reflections, this section never received the due attention. Therefore, the aim of this essay is to give this piece its well-deserved recognition. Firstly, the essay outlines the section's structure and methodology, analyzes the critique of the political language employed by Madame de Staël, and lastly it accurately reconstructs the analysis of the British social and political system. The essay theorizes that the praising of monarchic England is not to be considered as a regression to moderate positions by the "dernière" Staël, but instead another assertion of Republican ideals. England is shown as a political role model because its institutions can guarantee its citizens individual freedom along with an active interest in and participation to the public affairs.
