This work focuses on the pathological power of the ego, understood as an existential illness which has at its confused and blurred centre the lack of distinctions between opposites. In a certain sense there is no element without its opposite. However, the principle of separation allows the freedom of choice entrusted to each of us. Adolf and Superman represent two heroes; the first embodies evil, the second good. But both pose the same objective: the fight against others for the victory of what they consider good or bad. Both are the image of the ego and, therefore, power. Both are therefore victims of paranoia. This paranoia is also typical of contemporary society, in which the confused center of paranoia takes the side of the ego in many ways. In fact, the paranoiac ignores the center, that is, its essence, because it loses its ties with the origin and the simplicity to replace it with superstructures of ideas and projects that are driving it away from itself, often increasing its confusion and, therefore, its bondage.
