The paper focuses on the relations which the Italian philosopher Cesare Luporini - in the middle part of his life, 1945-1960 - entertained with the thought of a few German philosophers. The author argues in particular that Heidegger's significance for Luporini, even in his youth, is less important than it was considered to be. He also goes over his engagement with Marx and locates this interest in little more than a decennium, 1966-1978.
