Moving from Darwin, the Author highlights the significant changes occurred not only on the level of the definition (metaphysical vs. naturalistic) of what is human, but above all on its producibility: man discovers himself as a naturally produced being and, therefore, constitutively experimental. The Author demonstrates that the Darwinian transformation of the conception of "the living" must not be intended only as the premise to a new level of biologization of politics, but rather as a premise for a redefinition of the very criteria of biopolitics.
