787SOVEREIGNTY OF THE STATE
AND PROHIBITION OF INTERFERENCE IN ITS INTERNAL AFFAIRS
The author, with reference to the current crisis in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Ukraine
and the previous ones, finds that the foreign policy of stronger western states is not
directed to the pursuit of peace, but it appears deliberately aimed to provoke a state of
permanent armed conflict in which some States claim to take interventionist justifications
that in reality can best further their business and geostrategic interests. This situation is
likely to determine the intended destruction of state sovereignty and independence of
peoples, that is the end of the international law and, on the structural side, of the
international community of states itself that can not find their replacements in the law of
the United Nations.
