The paper studies the institutional issues arising in the provision of global public goods. The analytical framework is provided by a reformulation of the theory of public goods in terms of the new theory of economic policy and the theorems therein derived on equilibrium existence in linear-quadratic games. Applications are modelled with reference to issues of international monetary stability and the prevention of communicable diseas
