Due to the increased interest of academics, policymakers, and industry professionals in the field of strategic management, the topic of circular supply chain management (CSCM), which is still in its infancy, is anticipated to advance dramatically over the next few years. Additionally, the adoption of sustainable and resilient paradigms is one of the areas of Supply Chain Management that has recently attracted the most interest in both academic and corporate environments. The implementation of sustainable models was sparked by the recent increase in global temperatures and the public's increased awareness of ESG issues, while organizations' competitiveness depended heavily on resilience due to the growing dynamism of the competitive environment and the globalization of supply chains. Despite the importance of these three techniques, it is discovered that there is a shortage of studies evaluating and measuring them at the same time. An examination of the literature was first conducted to assess the practices of CSCM and identify potential performance indicators for sustainability and resilience to understand the problems and possibilities linked to CSCM in terms of their impact on sustainability and resilience. The literature review is delivered following an introduction part that sets the context for the work and its subject matter. The research of CSCM practices and the measurement of sustainability and resilience are divided into multiple phases. In the third chapter, three research questions are declared, and the authors reiterate the absence of a clear analysis considering these three concepts altogether. The fourth chapter described the methodology followed by this study, which is characterized by the implementation of the ISM methodology to define the possible relationships available between the variables concerning CSCM, sustainability, and resilience. This process saw the participation of 10 experts, at first through the definition and validation of the list of variables to consider to completely describe the areas analyzed and then by filling out the ISM matrix. In the fifth section, the results of the previous chapter are reported and then they are discussed. In the last chapter, the conclusions are presented, and future steps are proposed. This approach led to the development of a digraph where the variables have been divided into different levels about their mutual dependence and to the possibility to define the dependence and driving power between the different variables. The circular practices that emerged to have the greatest impact are the ones that increase the level of cooperation throughout the entire supply chain. From this study, it is possible to understand how the areas characterized by the highest impact provided by the implementation of CSCM practices are economic and environmental, for what concerns sustainability, and the possibility to reduce the impact on the entire supply chain caused by disruptive events. Grazie al crescente interesse di accademici, politici e professionisti del settore nel campo della gestione strategica, si prevede che il tema della gestione circolare della supply chain (CSCM), che è ancora agli inizi, progredirà notevolmente nei prossimi anni. Inoltre, l'adozione di paradigmi sostenibili e resilienti è una delle aree del Supply Chain Management che recentemente ha suscitato maggiore interesse sia in ambito accademico che aziendale. L'implementazione di modelli sostenibili è stata stimolata dal recente aumento delle temperature globali e dalla maggiore consapevolezza dell'opinione pubblica sulle questioni ESG, mentre la competitività delle organizzazioni dipende in larga misura dalla resilienza, a causa del crescente dinamismo dell'ambiente competitivo e della globalizzazione delle catene di fornitura. Nonostante l'importanza di queste tre tecniche, si scopre che vi è una carenza di studi che le valutino e le misurino contemporaneamente. È stato condotto un esame della letteratura per valutare le pratiche di CSCM e identificare potenziali indicatori di performance per la sostenibilità e la resilienza, al fine di comprendere i problemi e le possibilità legate alla CSCM in termini di impatto sulla sostenibilità e sulla resilienza. La revisione della letteratura viene presentata dopo una parte introduttiva che definisce il contesto dello studio e il suo obiettivo. La ricerca delle pratiche di CSCM e la misurazione della sostenibilità e della resilienza sono suddivise in più fasi. Nel terzo capitolo vengono dichiarate tre domande di ricerca e gli autori ribadiscono l'assenza di un'analisi chiara che consideri questi tre concetti nel loro insieme. Il quarto capitolo descrive la metodologia seguita da questo studio, caratterizzata dall'implementazione della metodologia ISM per definire le possibili relazioni disponibili tra le variabili relative a CSCM, sostenibilità e resilienza. Questo processo ha visto la partecipazione di 10 esperti, dapprima attraverso la definizione e la validazione dell'elenco delle variabili da considerare per descrivere in modo completo le aree analizzate e poi attraverso la compilazione della matrice ISM. Nel quinto capitolo si riportano e si discutono i risultati del capitolo precedente. Nell'ultimo capitolo vengono presentate le conclusioni e proposti i passi futuri. Questo approccio ha portato allo sviluppo di un diagramma in cui le variabili sono state suddivise in diversi livelli in base alla loro dipendenza reciproca e alla possibilità di definire la dipendenza e il potere trainante tra le diverse variabili. Le pratiche circolari che sono risultate avere il maggiore impatto sono quelle che aumentano il livello di cooperazione lungo supply chain. Da questo studio è possibile comprendere come le aree caratterizzate dal maggior impatto fornito dall'implementazione di pratiche CSCM siano quella economica e quella ambientale, per quanto riguarda la sostenibilità, e la possibilità di ridurre l'impatto sull'intera supply chain causato da eventi dirompenti.
